Empowering the Next Generation?
What does it mean to “EMPOWER”?
First,
by empowering the next generation, we are to look ahead 50, 100 years of UBF ministry.
Second,
by empowering the next generation, we are to bring the best out of their potential for them to take leadership roles in serving world mission.
Third,
one next generation leader’s influence in achieving spiritual revival is vital. For example,
Fourth,
empowering the next generation has been and is of a great interest and a prayer topic for UBF missionaries worldwide and lay shepherds in Korea.
Fifth,
empowering the next generation is Jesus’ command according to Matthew 28:18-20. “All nations” includes the next generation as well. Empowering the next generation to be spiritual leaders and global leaders of this generation is indeed Jesus’ command.
Who are the “NEXT GENERATION” we are referring to?
Most studies define next generation leaders as individuals under the age of 40. According to the book „The Young Evangelicas“ by Robert E. Webber, the young generation refer to those born after 1975. This young generation, namely the next generation from a new leader group for the 21 century.
