Hanna Ryu & Young Shik Kim: Let My Eyes See the Hope of God
By Hanna Ryu, Poet, Missionary at Mainz UBF, Germany, Member of International P.E.N. Club; Publication, poetry collection <Morning Bird> 2008
Set to music by Young Shik Kim
Let my eyes see the hope of the Lord.
When I wandered in the lonely desert,
He saved me from the swamp of my deepest sins
and gave the true freedom, joy, and hope.
And He called us to be his holy people and
a kingdom of priests.
Let my feet turn to Zion.
Out of love for his word, I will climb up to the temple of the Lord
Let my ears be opened to hear the word of truth.
Let my mouth be opened to preach the Gospel of love.
Let my hands pray for the people of all nations.
All the nations will come to the Lord like the clouds of the sky.
My lips will sing songs of praise.
You breathed a breath of life into dry bones,
you have raised them to be a vast army.
Let Europe be revived through your spirit,
let workers of the Gospel be sent out to all the nations
until your kingdom reach the ends of the earth.
