Christmas Offering for North Korea
Dear the precious coworkers in Christ,
Merry Christmas and happy New Year! May the joy and grace of Baby Jesus Christ fill your family. Looking back on the past year, I could not but praise and thank God. God blessed the Purdue International Conference abundantly with about 3,400 attendants. The conference was filled with God’s grace through the powerful word of God and his world mission vision. Over 500 people volunteered to go out as missionaries. This was God’s response to over 3,000 times of prayers offered by our brothers and sisters throughout the world. Last year God also enabled us to rejoin NAE (National Association of Evangelicals), became a member of Cross Global Link and ECFA (Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability).UBF virtually joined the Christian community. I am very thankful that our one to one Bible students and leaders could be protected from unreasonable accusation through this.
This year I would like offer our Christmas offerings to North Korea brethren. You heard news about starvation in North Korea. United Nations World Food Program predicts that there will be one million deaths from starvation in North Korea between March and June next year. I am forwarding Shepherd Moses Lee’s letter who visited North Korea with Shepherd Samuel H. Lee. My heart was broken when I read it. Elders in Chicago also agreed to support my decision. Let us be one of heart and mind to collect our Christmas offerings for starving brethren in North Korea. May God be with you.
